Performs materials selection/collection development duties for the general adult collection, including reviewing and evaluating materials and performing needs analysis to determine additions to collection. Performs reference and readers advisory duties including assisting patrons of all ages in the use of library collections through the reference interview and instruction in the use of library catalogs, indexes, and digital and print resources. Designs graphics to promote Library programs for adults. Conducts outreach to marginalized community groups and builds partnerships with community organizations to expand the access to library services. This includes helping to coordinate and staff bookmobile visits, leading tech help clinics, and delivering presentations on library services to community groups. Develops and coordinates programs, special events and displays on a variety of topics in collaboration with community partners. Participates as a team member in departmental meetings and planning activities. Assists with special projects and library research as assigned by the department manager.
