Librarian

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and inspiring students to reach their full potential. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with library curriculum standards. Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods. Conduct annual inventory of library collections Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences. Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Valid teaching certification in Library Science PK-12 Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans. Proficiency in using educational technology and tools. Strong organizational and time management skills. Previous teaching experience in an elementary school setting is preferred but not required. Hours- 8:35am - 4:05pm
