We are looking for an experienced Research Librarian in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-depth business, legal, and industry research for consulting and administrative teams, supporting both client matters and internal projects.
- Identify the most effective databases, publications, and reference tools for each request by weighing relevance, credibility, timeliness, and cost.
- Summarize findings into organized, practical research deliverables that make complex information easy for stakeholders to interpret and use.
- Support business development efforts through targeted research such as litigation tracking, attorney background research, and case-related document discovery.
- Build productive relationships with external information providers, including law firms, agencies, libraries, and subject matter contacts, while representing the organization effectively.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of subscription platforms, specialized research resources, and library collections to improve service quality.
- Record newly identified sources, research insights, and useful reference materials in internal resource repositories for future access.
- Monitor developments in legal information services, research tools, and relevant news sources to keep research methods current and effective.
