Librarian I-Academic Liaison-University Library Assists with teaching Library orientations and Research Skills to students and public library patrons. Assists with teaching coordinated library instruction on campus, as requested by individual instructors and faculty. Designs and prepares presentations, handouts and content for Library orientations, Research Skills and coordinated library instruction. Interacts with the library patrons to assist them in selecting materials or meeting informational needs. Responsible for the library instruction in the absence of the Academic Liaison. Responsible of transfers and materials placed on reserve by students, instructors and faculty in the absence of the Academic Liaison. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school; knowledge of current library practices and technologies. 2 years of job related experience. Computer skills, good verbal and written communication, organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to assist patrons of varying educational levels; and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, students, faculty, staff and elected officials. Ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.SALARY:
