Duties Help This position serves as a Supervisory Librarian (Caloging and Metada Unit Supervisor loced in the Caloging and Metada Unit, Moving Image Section, Nional Audio-Visual Conservion Center, Researcher and Collections Services the Library of Congress in Culpeper, Virginia. As a Supervisory Librarian (Caloging and Metada Unit Supervisor) you will: Supervise a group of employees performing professional and technical work up to the GS-13 level. Establish guidelines and performance expections for staff members, which are clearly communiced through the formal employee performance management system. Serve as an expert in the organizion, development, and implemention of multiple projects and concurrent projects reling to the processing, inventorying and caloging of the Library of Congress' published and unpublished moving image collections. Serve as a project leader, team leader, or chairperson for working groups, task forces, committees, etc., pertaining to the processing and caloging of published and unpublished moving image merials held by the Library of Congress. Solve highly complex problems reling to the processing, inventorying and caloging of published and unpublished moving image collections and merials, or problems th involve relionships among the different caloging functions. Organize, develop, and schedule training projects for a wide variety of merials reled to bibliographic access and other caloging and collection management tools for moving image collections. Initie, establish, and maintain professional relionships with recorded sound and moving image archivists, reference librarians, preservion engineers and other specialists to share resources and informion as well as to coordine workflow within the NAVCC and the Library. Perform other duties as assigned. The position description number for this position is 129638. The salary range indiced reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. The incumbent of this position will work a Flexitime or Compflex work schedule. This is a supervisory, non-bargaining unit position. Relocion expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.
