Job Description

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Library Services Associate for the Gus Nichols Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to help support library patrons, serving as a guide in the use of library materials and resources. This position will oversee library operations in the absence of the Director and Assistant Director. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, requiring some evening and weekend work hours as assigned within a department rotation schedule.
Summary of Duties:
Process and track requests for loans of library materials from other libraries Maintain library collections, which includes ongoing organization, inventory, and statistics of usage Maintain library collections on reserve for courses; work closely with faculty to accommodate class needs Maintain the circulation records by providing usage reports and tracking overdue/lost item information and charges Provide guidance to students and faculty on available library digital services Assist with the checkin, checkout and shelving of books/various publications Provide support for students who utilize the library for testing Assist with processing materials for university archives
Qualifications:
