  • Student Assistants Position Summary Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in the Stockton Campus University Library.
Start Date Position available on or after September 14, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties Temporary hourly-intermittent work-study positions available on or after September 1, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2027 for the Stockton Campus University Library. Possibility of rehire based on performance, department needs, and budget. Position is typically scheduled 10-12 hours per week. The Student Assistant plays an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for students, faculty, staff, and other library patrons. The position also supports the Library's day-to-day operations and may provide opportunities to participate in outreach activities across the Stockton Campus. This is an excellent opportunity to develop valuable customer service, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills while contributing to a welcoming and student-centered library environment. Duties include but are not limited to: Assist in maintaining the Library's social media accounts Schedule weekly posts on Library Instagram, TikTok and Twitter accounts. Develop and contribute to marketing and outreach projects, including creating graphics, writing posts and appropriate audience engagement. Design informational and event flyers for upcoming workshops and/or marketing events occurring virtually and/or onsite. Run social media analytics. Assist with outreach events/preparation as needed. Help design library merchandise. Promote library resources and services to students. Perform all other duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications Preferred Qualifications :
Demonstrates the capacity to work well independently and with others. Demonstrates the capacity to be responsible and report to work on time and as scheduled. Demonstrates the ability to use computer; type; alphabetize; take/follow directions from a supervisor. Demonstrates the ability to interact with library users. Excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications :
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units. Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units. Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
