Answers patron requests for information and assistance and helps patrons learn and create in a makerspace and woodworking/industrial shop.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
35%PATRON ASSISTANCE
- Serves as the first point of contact for patrons in assistance with using industrial, maker, and innovation equipment; guiding them in use of machinery, hardware, and software. Helps patron register for training and booking equipment. Provide one-on-one assistance with maker and woodworking equipment upon request. (Essential) 25%
TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTION
- Serves as a point contact for patrons in assistance with using library technology; identifies opportunities for formal training in the library; advises patrons on availability of classroom and individual technology instruction; conducts safety training and equipment use training for various machines and refers patron on to the Creative Technologist or a Librarian for further assistance.
IN BRANCH PROGRAMMING
- Under the guidance of a supervisor, develops informative and entertaining programs by using project management and outcomes-based planning and evaluation tools; assists in delivering programs to audiences within the library; builds & maintains relationships with community partners; assists Community Relations and Marketing with recruiting attendees to provide benefit to patrons, to promote use of library resources and represent the library district to the community.
MAINTENANCE OF INNOVATION & MAKER SPACE TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
- Assists Creative Technologist with the regular maintenance, oversight, and cleaning of the makers space and innovation tools and equipment at LINC. Recommends repairs or replacement equipment as needed. (Essential) 5%

- Assists with providing website content, creating displays, and promoting the industrial space within LINC.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Associate's Degree Experience:
One year of similar or related experience Able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently (preferred) Or any combination of education and experience which provides the success factors .District Success Factors:
