Job Description

Description Assist in planning and implementing services in the adult department. Assists patrons in the use of library resources, facilities and equipment, and oversees the library's makerspace.
Supervised by:
Adult and Circulation Services Librarian. General supervision by the Library Director. Skills and abilities Ability to evaluate situations and make appropriate decisions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Extensive computer and internet skills. Strong organizational skills. Flexibility to meet the library's scheduling needs. Ability to learn the online circulation system. Knowledge of using a fax machine, photocopier, printer, scanner, laminator, Cricut, and 3D printer. Experience with online programs such as Gmail/Google Docs, Canva, and social media Willingness to learn new technology Help manage online presence and advertise library offerings and services. Ability to work with vendors and community partners for library and community events. Examples of Duties Assist in creating and implementing library programs for adults. Assist in creating programming schedules. Operate The Lab (the library's makerspace) and teach patrons how to use the resources there. Handling money and donated items. Help manage online presence and advertise library offerings and services. Assist patrons with public access catalog and online resources. Perform circulation tasks in accordance with established procedures. Other duties assigned by the director, as the need arises. Qualifications Associate's Degree plus two years of related experience, library experience preferred.
