Over 20,000 Students 11 Campuses Competency Based Education Online Resource Center Clerk Description South College invites applications for the position of Resource Center Clerk. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organization skills who likes to work in an active, fast-paced environment. The Resource Center Clerk will join the Resource Center/Library Department to provide library services during evening and Saturday hours. The Resource Center Clerk performs general clerical duties and provides limited reference and user support to students, faculty, and staff. Ideal candidates must possess excellent customer service and problem-solving skills with a general knowledge of library circulation procedures, policies, and technologies. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving skills in assisting all library users. Direct users to a librarian for further assistance as needed. Assist with maintenance and use of library collection, printer, computers, and laptops. Provide accurate circulation, interlibrary loan, and inter-campus loan services. Collect and report library usage data monthly and as requested. Supervise assigned Federal Work Study to provide sufficient coverage for all hours. Issue college ID cards to faculty, staff, and students. Maintain equipment and order supplies. Participate in assigned department teams, projects, and committees. Participate in Welcome Sessions and other assigned campus events to represent the library department. Attend all department and institutional meetings and training sessions as requested by supervisor. Participate in a minimum of one professional development and one community service activity each year. Adhere to South College's Commitment to Behavior Standards. Adhere to all policies and guidelines established by the institution, school, department, affiliated partners, as described in the employee handbook, and any other directives or memoranda.
