Job Description
The Temporary Library Assistant will perform a variety of library operations at New College of Florida's Jane Bancroft Cook Library. This is a temporary part-time position without benefits. The hours will be Friday & Saturday 4pm-midnight and other shifts as available/needed. Collections maintenance Circulation desk Assisting with events, exhibits and related activities as assigned High School Diploma or GED and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience. Able to move cartons of books and fully loaded book carts and be able to perform the bending and reaching necessary to shelve library materials. Able to push/pull up to 40 lbs. and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. This position requires a background investigation. A Bachelor's degree or one year library or customer service experience.
