Job Description

Help students discover the information and resources they need to succeed. As a Part-Time Reference Assistant , you'll play an important role in supporting learning, research, and academic success by connecting students, faculty, staff, and community members with library services in a welcoming and engaging environment. In this role, you'll assist patrons with research questions by helping them navigate the library's collections, discovery tools, online databases, and other authoritative resources. You'll support library instruction by assisting with orientations, information literacy sessions, and classroom preparation, and may lead instructional sessions as needed. You'll also contribute to the creation of research guides, promote library resources, answer questions at the Information Desk, assist with library opening and closing procedures, and provide support with printing, scanning, and other library services. Working collaboratively with library colleagues, you'll help ensure every visitor has a positive and productive library experience. We're looking for someone who enjoys helping others learn and has a passion for research, information literacy, and customer service. The ideal candidate communicates effectively with diverse audiences, is comfortable presenting information to groups, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Success in this role requires strong technology skills, the ability to quickly learn library systems and databases, an understanding of the research process, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. $20.01 $23.01

Alene Campus Work Schedule:
up to 19.5 hrs per week, including Mon-Thurs 5:00-8:00pm & Sun 12:00-6:00pm Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and proof of degree if required for this position.
