Job Description

Status:
Part-time, hourly, non-exempt
Hours:
12-16 hours/week (evening and weekend hours)
Wages:
Starts at $15.61/hour - depending on qualifications and experience
Benefits:
Paid time off The Algonquin Area Public Library is looking for a responsible person to shelve materials and help maintain the organization and tidiness of the Library. Responsibilities Sorting materials by call number prior to shelving Shelving materials in the correct order and location Straightening, cleaning, and shifting materials on shelves as needed Performing room setups as assigned Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age Knowledge of and ability to apply alphabetical order and Dewey decimal system Ability to understand and follow written and oral instruction and prioritize work within a set framework Sufficient personal mobility, physical strength and stamina to stand, stoop, bend, reach, twist, and lift materials weighing up to 30 pounds and push carts of materials weighing up to 60 pounds Application Please fill out our general application form and provide a cover letter and resume along with your application.
