The Taylorville Public Library is seeking a Processing Specialist who has the ability to work well with the Library Director, the Assistant Library Director, the Library staff, patrons and volunteers. The responsibilities include the processing of all library materials, which include barcoding, creating spine labels, covering books, repairing books and implementation of quality control guidelines for each process used to make library materials available to the public. The job also entails circulation duties and providing excellence in customer service to all patrons. Training will be provided.

Position Requirements:

A high school diploma is required. An Associate's degree or some college hours or past library experience is preferred. Technology knowledge and having detailed oriented work habits is preferred along with the willingness to learn all aspects of the job. The job is twenty-nine a week with hours that are during the day with some evenings and Saturdays. The salary range is $16.00 to $17.00 an hour depending on qualifications of the applicant.
