Job DescriptionStudents perform a variety of tasks to assist with the maintenance of the Library & Archives collections, and the purchasing and cataloging of new materials for the library. ResponsibilitiesPre-order searching to confirm price and availability of materials Processing new cataloged materials, including attaching barcodes, labels and dust-jacketsWithdrawing titles from the collection and preparing withdrawn items for shipment or disposalShelf maintenance, including shifting, reshelving books, and shelf reading Assisting with Interlibrary loan functionsCreating metadata and descriptions for digitized photographsProcessing archival materialsScheduling & HoursMonday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.10 hours per weekWork-study eligible students welcome.
Compensation and BenefitsRate of Pay:
$16.45/hourMinnesota Sick and Safe TimeMinnesota Paid Family and Medical LeaveNot eligible for health insurance benefitsQualificationsStudents must be currently enrolled at Augsburg and must be work-study eligible.

Able to lift boxes up to 40 poundsStrong organizational and time management skills, Attention to detail and accuracy (both alpha and numeric)Ability to work independently PreferredFamiliarity with library catalog searching, General office experience, especially filing, MS Office & Google Workspace appsBasic experience with photography & Adobe applications is helpfulIf you have questions about your work-study eligibility, please consult your financial aid award letter or contact
