Greenley Library is seeking a part-time Periodicals/Electronic Resources Instructional Support Associate to provide backup coverage for the Circulation Desk during evening and weekend hours, monitor student study areas on the second and third floors of the library, assist with the management of electronic resources, and support a variety of library projects as needed. The successful candidate will be comfortable performing a diverse range of library support functions, including maintaining print and electronic periodical collections, answering telephone inquiries, organizing library and archival materials, maintaining Excel and Google Sheets, conducting link-checking activities, and completing other assigned projects. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, lean new technologies, and contribute to the smooth operation of library services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, strong organizational and communication skills, a solid work ethic, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.Duties and Responsibilities:
Train and serve as a substitute at the Circulation Desk Maintain Periodical Collection under the instruction of Library Periodical Department Staff Assist students finding periodicals Answer basic information questions Monitor the Periodical Department and second floor Perform various office duties, as assigned Link checking journals and databases Enter eBooks, periodicals and additional information into Library Mgt System ALMA Shift in both Electronic Resource / Serials Department and Archive Department Special projects as assignedHours:
Monday 4PM- 11PM Tuesday 4PM
- 11PM Sunday 1PM
- 9PM This position is eligible for benefits and tuition assistance.
