Description Human Resources Administrative Assistant (
Bargaining Unit:
N/A ) Pay Grade 2 $35,850
Hours:
Regular Part-time (28 hours per week /benefited ) . Preferred hours are 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Frida y . Must be able to work flexible and/or additional hours as mandated by library operational need s. Job Summary :
This position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department.
Education :
High school diploma . Associate Degree or the equivalent of two years coursework from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years verifiable paid clerical/ administrative support experience 1-2 years' experience working in the Human Resources Department required .
Technical Expertise:
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required . Relevant business equipment including the use of basic computer programs and systems . Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, preparing meeting minutes, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Read, understand, and communicate information and ideas presented in writing. Use mathematics to solve problems. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on tasks in an efficient and timely manner . Observe deadlines. General principles and objectives of information technology systems and programs. Proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure to ensure that written materials prepared and reviewed are complete, succinct, and free of errors.
