Provide public service at Public Services desks Answer incoming calls, directing them to appropriate extensions Assist patrons of all ages by issuing cards, collecting fees, checking materials in and out, curbside pickup, and finding & reserving materials Perform Reader's Advisory Assist patrons in researching any topic Maintain collection by shelving materials and participating in weeding and inventory projects Oversee public computer operations, assisting patrons as needed Process returned material including emptying book drop(s) Operate ovens used to control pests Assist with sorting and packing of library materials received and sent via delivery service Facilitate the flow of materials from one branch to another Maintain displays on bookshelf end panels May be required to serve as Notary Public at the Library's expense Occasionally fill in at another branch or department if the need arises Follow appropriate cash handling procedures Perform opening/closing tasks Maintain regular and reliable attendance Demonstrate ability to get along with others Abide by established Library policies Necessary physical aspects include, but are not limited to: standing, sitting, operating office equipment, climbing steps, lifting up to 35 lbs., pushing or pulling loaded carts, and working in a hot room with the ovens Attend appropriate meetings and workshops Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
