Who We Are:

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Elementary Library Technician at Warder Park Wayne Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Elementary Library Technician, you are required to: A High School diploma or equivalent Post high school work related to library functions or equivalent Experience and/or training in the operation of computers and with technology (Must possess) or able to obtain an Educational Aide Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education As a Elementary Library Technician, you will: Assisting students in locating books and information Working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System Supporting students in developing appropriate researching skills Operating and maintaining computerized circulation system Creating an inviting atmosphere within the library and surrounding area Assisting teachers and other staff in locating classroom materials Tracking issuance and return of books and materials Assisting with emergency preparedness drills Attending professional development Performs other duties as assigned

What We Offer:

As a contracted employee, this position works 7 hours per day, 197 days per year.
