Position Information Requisition Number Stu719P Position Type Student Worker Department Department of Student Workers Job Title Student Worker - McNairy Library Fall 2026 Classification Student Worker Pay Rate Starting rate $9.00/hr Position Summary Information Hours per week 8 - 12 hours per week Days Worked Flexible Hours/Shift worked Flexible Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The Francine G. McNairy Library and Learning Forum Center is a learner-centered hub for the university community, dedicated to educating, inspiring, and connecting people with ideas, information, and each other. There are multiple departments within the library that utilize student workers to assist with work ranging from physical material acquisitions, digitization of documents, and customer service. Required Qualifications Enrolled Millersville University Student Available to work 8-10 or more hours/week for a full academic year including evening when necessary Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Customer service skills Ability to multitask Ability to work both alone and within a team Job Duties Job duties vary from department to department within the library. Most positions are entry-level and will consist of on-the-job training. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Be able to sit and use a computer for the length of shift Ability to lift 20 lbs Posting Open Date 04/20/2026 Posting Close Date 10/31/2026 Special Instructions to Applicants Previous experience is not required as we provide on-the-job training to all.
