Assists Manager of Access Services, Evening & Weekend Access Services Coordinator, and the staff of Learning Resources, Information Services, Collection Management, and University Archives in performing routine library operations and special projects. •This is a Monday-Friday position, generally 10am-7pm.• Job Description Job Duties Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Provides circulation and reserves services to library patrons. Assists patrons with library technology, including printing & scanning. Performs collections of maintenance operations for print and electronic materials. Provides directional assistance and ready reference for library patrons in a variety of modalities: in- person, phone, chat, email. Interprets library policy and services to users. Participates in training and skill development with other members of the libraries team. Scan and digitize materials for inclusion in Jefferson Digital Commons. Assist with other University Archives projects as assigned. Substitute for other members of the department as needed. Cross-train for Library Resource functions and provide coverage as needed. Maintains appropriate records and statistics. Contributes to a safe and welcoming environment for all. Serve as "designated emergency staff" during weather & other emergencies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Experience using personal computers, Apple desktop & mobile devices, and major software programs (email, web browser, Microsoft Office). Proven commitment to customer service. Preferred Qualifications 2 years library work experience Knowledge of and experience using Springshare library tools is preferred. Additional Qualifications Physical Demands Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, •patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
