Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing circulation support services within the campus library.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements
  • ?
Performs library work of a moderately complex nature ? Provides circulation services including organization of library materials ? Maintains circulation records and prepares reports as necessary ? Organizes reserve items ? Answers moderately complex questions, refers questions to a librarian, when appropriate ? Locates materials including databases and electronic resources for students and faculty ? Provides check in and checkout services as well as properly shelving library materials ? Effectively uses an automated circulation system ? Develops an extensive working knowledge of library services, policies and practices; and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures ? Communicates library services, policies and practices to students, faculty and staff ? Performs advanced library operational skills ? Manages technical matters and human relations issues ? Maintains operational reports and makes reports as requested Service Excellence ? Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ? Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ? Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College Supervision Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leadership

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or sixty (60) college hours completed and one (1) year's working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or equivalent combination of education and working experience
Preferred Qualifications:
? At least one (1) year's working experience in a community college library related to the Essential Performance Requirements ? At least one (1) year's working experience on a learning commons team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Knowledge of library policies and procedures ? Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships ? Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software ? Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization ? Ability to enthusiastically communicate with and relate to the community college student ? Ability to work with little supervision and judgment in evaluating alternatives
