The purpose of this job is to perform routine library functions and general clerical work in assigned service. Provides assistance with programming and with patrons in locating and checking out materials; shelves library materials; and completes other clerical duties as assigned; and provides professional and courteous customer service at all times. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Reports to the Circulation Coordinator at the assigned Library branch. Assists patrons with locating resources and checking in and out materials. Shelves materials. Updates patron records and issue library cards. Place holds on books and materials as requested. Inspects returned materials for damage, verifies due date and computes and receives any applicable fines. Retrieves deposited materials from book return. Prepares library for opening and closing. Ensures previously shelved items are in correct order. Assists the public in the use of technology, including software, online tools, and mobile devices. Assists with Library program preparation and delivery. Provides pro-active customer service in assisting patrons in all areas of the library. Performs general administrative/clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondence, entering, and retrieving computer data, copying, and filing document, answering the telephone, etc. Attends trainings, meetings, workshops, conferences, etc., as necessary to maintain job knowledge and skills. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
Additional Requirements Special Qualifications, Certifications and Licenses:

- 7:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am
- 8:00 pm, and Friday through Sunday 8:00am
- 5:00pm.
Work schedules are assigned based on operational need. Employees must work 40 hours weekly to maintain their full-time status. Employees must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays during emergencies or as requested. Position may require travel throughout the County and between library branches as needed.
