Job Description

Provide high quality library services for faculty, staff, and students at the Giles campus. Duties include assisting patrons with computers and other technology, circulation responsibilities, shelving library materials, shelf-reading, and assisting librarians with various projects Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, punctuality/dependability. Knowledge of Windows and Office programs and general technology skills. Strong math skills. Knowledge and experience with library work/procedures; knowledge of Library of Congress shelving system. This position requires moving around the library frequently to assist patrons. For shelving, this position must be able to push loaded book carts, maneuver them between shelves, move manual compact shelving, lift and move books and materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and reach to place books on shelves ranging from ground level to 6 ½ high.
