Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred Experience Requirements At least 1 year of related experience required
Experience in customer service, library services, or administrative support preferred
Experience using computers, Microsoft Office, and basic office equipment Job Duties Assist with daily circulation desk operations, including opening and closing procedures
Check materials in and out and assist patrons with loan requests
Shelve books, magazines, and other library materials accurately
Organize and straighten shelves to maintain a clean and orderly library
Help patrons locate books, resources, and information using the electronic catalog system
Provide basic computer, printing, and technology assistance to library visitors
Inspect materials for damage and ensure proper placement within the collection
Catalog and maintain magazines and other library resources
Create promotional materials such as flyers, bookmarks, and display items
Assist with library programs, story times, book clubs, craft activities, and special events
Help develop monthly event calendars and branch programming schedules
Promote library services within the community by distributing informational materials
Notify management of supply and purchasing needs
Perform other duties as assigned Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and use hands throughout the workday
Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to push, pull, stoop, crouch, and climb as needed
Must have close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
