What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Category Custodial Location(s) Walhalla High School Description Head Custodian-2nd Shift Responsibilities Responsible for the upkeep of school building(s) and grounds. Accept any other tasks assigned by supervisor. Experience/Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have ability to supervise. Must have technical or hands-on experience in all phases of school or industrial cleaning. Must be able to lift/carry items in excess of 25 lbs. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have ability to work with minimum supervision. Salary Range $15.73- $22.87 8 hours per day. 240 days per year. Closing Date Posting open until filled The School District of Oconee County reserves the right to extend the closing date connected to this position if conditions are warranted.
