PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To assist and supervise students using the library computers, modify and maintain library computers, and assist the librarian in other library related responsibilities. Library is on the Specials rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills:

Proficient skills in computer technology Good people skills and public relations

Experience:

Previous library work preferred Some experience working with children

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Assist and supervise students at the library computers. 2. Modify and maintain library computers. 3. Assist the librarian in the clerical duties of the library, including processing books, A-V equipment and materials, computer software, magazines. 4. Assist students with research papers and other assignments. 5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

All computer equipment, typewriter, copy machine, calculator

Mental Demands:

Reading; sorting; effective communications (verbal); maintain control under stress. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
