Temporary for about 1 month Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to assist with a library book relocation project. This position involves moving books from one area of the library to another while maintaining their exact order throughout the process. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities Remove books from shelves and place them on a book cart in the correct order. Transport books using a rolling cart and elevator to the 5th floor. Reshelve books in their proper sequence and location. Ensure all materials remain organized and correctly ordered during the move. Handle library materials carefully to prevent damage. Follow all safety procedures while moving carts and shelving materials. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy. Dependable and punctual. Ability to work independently and stay focused on repetitive tasks. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and lift books throughout the shift. Ability to push and maneuver loaded book carts. Ability to work in a library environment with frequent shelving activities. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, careful, and committed to maintaining the exact order of library materials during a large-scale relocation project. Previous library, stocking, inventory, or shelving experience is helpful but not required.
