Open Until Filled Employment Opportunity This is a part time, entry level non-benefited administrative assistant position with the Orem Public Library and Recreation Department. This position is responsible for performing various office and clerical duties including balancing tills, cash handling, scheduling rentals, creating and tracking invoices for rentals, data entry for invoices and purchase orders, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, time cards, and placing and processing supply orders. Works with City commissions as assigned. Drives and operates a vehicle. Occassionally lifts boxes weighing as much as 40 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned. Must work the days and hours assigned and begin and end work on time. Must be available during business hours to conduct regular buiness. Qualifications Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment. Knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Ability to perform general clerical work. Ability to type or word process at a speed necessary for sucessful job performance. Ability to operate a wide variety of office related equipment. Ability to deal effectively with other employees and the public. Skill in the operation of a computer and its various programs. Able to follow instructions and be a self-starter. Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and two years secretarial experience or equivalent training. Must posess a valid Utah driver's license and have a good driving record. Must be at least 18 years of age. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check. Pay and Benefits Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 1:00 pm.
