Patron Services mission in that purpose Provide experiences which engage, retain, and empower patrons and helpers to find, take, and teach. Job objectives within that mission Ensure that the FamilySearch Library's catalogs are accurate and accessible in such a manner that will engage, retain, and empower patrons and helpers to find, take, and teach. Process all incoming periodicals (mail and digital) Inventory periodicals from current collection on a regular basis Prepare periodicals for binding and scanning Assist in processing incoming donations Assist in projects for scanning and other Library projects, as needed Work closely with members of the team to collaborate on a variety of assignments Create and communicate clear metric and reporting measures Additional responsibilities might include: correct cataloging errors, removal and shifting of collection, create training materials, and other assignments as needed A bachelor's degree or the equivalent of education and professional work experience with 3-5 years of related experience. Excellent analytical skills and ability to complete detailed work with accuracy. Advanced personal computer skills and demonstrated advanced proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Be self-directed on assignments and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the work. Experience with Library ILS and OPAC systems, MARC and other metadata standards preferred. Ability to set priorities. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, push/pull heavy Library carts, bend/squat Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord's work.
