#106-CLS-04-26 Library/Supervision Para Educator Valley Academy 6 hours per day / 191 days per year

STARTS 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR DESCRIPTION
Works collaboratively with the support of the librarian to perform library services, including: acquisition, cataloging, circulation, or reference work. Answer simple library information and directional questions. Interact and encourage students in the library and computer environments. Continually observe tasks that need to be done and perform them with minimal supervision. Open the library and provide book check out for students and staff when needed. Assist the librarian with special projects or tasks as needed. Supervise library. Before/after school, cafeteria and/or recess supervision. Other related duties as assigned. Some office and welcoming tasks may be needed during office breaks. Attend in-service training and meetings as appropriate. Provide support in all content areas. May assist with preparation of materials, copies, etc. Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum AA degree or equivalent or passed Praxis test required. Bilingual/biliterate English/Spanish is preferred. Working knowledge of iPads, PCs and Chromebooks preferred. Experience working with multiple levels of Kindergarten through high school students preferred. Good communication skills and ability to follow written and oral directions. Patient, flexible, self motivated, positive social skills and a calm personality. Ability to relate well to middle students, parents and staff. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are required functions of this position.

Tuition reimbursement, 50% up to $450 per year for qualified expenses.
