Job Summary Ninth Grade Teacher (Multi-Subject) About Hope Academy Hope Academy is a Christian workforce development school dedicated to preparing students for success in both life and career. Our unique educational model combines rigorous academics with hands-on workforce development, allowing students to spend half of each school day engaged in core academic instruction and the other half developing practical career skills, character, and work readiness. As a startup school, Hope Academy is building a culture of excellence, innovation, faith, and purpose. We are seeking educators who are excited to help shape a new generation of learners while contributing to the growth and vision of our school. Position Summary Hope Academy is seeking an experienced, passionate, and adaptable Ninth Grade Teacher who is capable of teaching multiple core academic subjects. This educator will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction during the academic portion of the school day while collaborating with the workforce development team to ensure students experience a seamless connection between classroom learning and real-world application. The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner who brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, flexibility, and a pioneering spirit to a startup environment. This individual is excited about building programs, mentoring students, and helping establish a culture that reflects academic excellence and Christian values. Responsibilities Teach multiple ninth-grade academic subjects, such as English, History, Science, and/or Mathematics, based on experience and certification. Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and the mission of Hope Academy. Foster a classroom culture that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, responsibility, and Christian character. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families and school leadership. Collaborate with workforce development instructors to connect academic learning with career pathways. Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students. Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement as the school grows. Contribute ideas and leadership in establishing systems, traditions, and programs within a startup school environment. Maintain a safe, organized, and Christ-centered classroom. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain certification. Experience teaching middle or high school students preferred. Ability to teach multiple academic disciplines is strongly preferred. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities. Demonstrated Christian faith and commitment to integrating biblical principles into education. Entrepreneurial mindset with flexibility and enthusiasm for building a growing school. Passion for preparing students academically, spiritually, and professionally.
