Math Teacher — Grades 4-12 ReThink Microschools | Gilbert, Arizona Immediate Opening Help students build confidence, strengthen their math skills, and discover what they can achieve. ReThink Microschools is seeking a caring, skilled Math Teacher who is available to begin immediately. With no more than eight students per class, you'll have the opportunity to know your students, understand how they learn, and provide meaningful, personalized instruction. Our small private school serves students with autism who require Level I supports. We combine strong academics with a calm, structured environment where students can grow academically and socially. About the Role We're looking for an educator who makes math approachable, engaging, and relevant. The ideal candidate can support students across different skill levels, explain concepts in multiple ways, and balance academic challenge with patience and encouragement. Key Responsibilities Teach mathematics to students in grades 4-12, adapting instruction to their readiness and learning needs. Plan standards-aligned lessons that build foundational skills, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving abilities. Use hands-on activities, inquiry, technology, and real-world applications to make math meaningful. Assess student progress and adjust instruction to provide targeted support and appropriate challenges. Establish clear routines and a positive, organized classroom environment. Help students develop confidence, independence, and productive learning habits. Communicate regularly with families about student progress. Collaborate with colleagues on personalized learning plans and participate in staff meetings and professional development. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a closely related field. Current Arizona teaching certification. Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Strong mathematics knowledge and the ability to differentiate instruction across multiple grade and skill levels. Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students who learn differently. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of teaching experience. Experience teaching students with autism.
