- Develop instructional plans and organize class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time;
- Provide individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students;
- Design learning activities that will relate mathematics to the "real" world;
- Plan and adapt instruction in order to integrate appropriate strategies to meet the learning needs of all students;
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to meet students' diverse learning needs;
- Maintain professional competence through participation in Professional Learning Communities, in-service education activities provided by the district, and/or in self-selected professional growth activities;
- Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs at the assigned school and district-wide;
- Communicate and be available to parents and students to discuss individual student's progress.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Single Subject Mathematics Credential or equivalent
- English Learner Authorization desirable
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related mathematics field may also be considered for this position, subject to verification of applicable subject-matter competency requirements.
