This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for mathematics, develop comprehensive lesson plans, and support students' academic growth across various mathematical disciplines. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student success, ensuring that each learner is engaged and challenged. Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons in core mathematics subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Discrete Math, and Differential Equations Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans aligned with educational standards and student needs Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, projects, and standardized assessments; provide constructive feedback Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to participation and growth Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement Mentor students individually or in groups to support their academic development and address learning challenges Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, school initiatives, and extracurricular activities related to STEM education Prepare students for college entrance exams and standardized testing by designing targeted practice sessions Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in accordance with school policies Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred Valid teaching certification/license for high school mathematics instruction Proven classroom experience with diverse student populations; private school experience is a plus Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Organic Chemistry (for interdisciplinary science integration), Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Dissection techniques, Scientific research methods, Laboratory experience, Research laboratory experience Familiarity with instructional design principles and curriculum development processes Experience working with learning technology platforms and digital resources for teaching mathematics Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and foster student engagement Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment Skills in tutoring students individually or in small groups to reinforce understanding of mathematical topics Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and preparation strategies for assessments such as SATs or ACTs Experience mentoring students or providing academic advising; familiarity with special education or Montessori methods is advantageous Join us to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by cultivating their mathematical skills and inspiring future innovators!
