Job Description

Wonder Quest Learning Center is a San Diego-based after-school enrichment and tutoring program serving students in Carmel Valley, Del Mar, and Torrey Pines. We offer core academic support in math, English, and science, plus enrichment classes in art, music, Spanish, Mandarin, and robotics, along with academic competition prep. Wonder Quest also partners with local school districts, including Solana Beach School District, to deliver enrichment classes on-campus. Student safety and real learning outcomes are our top priorities. Wonder Quest Learning Center is looking for a dedicated Math teacher to join our after-school program, working with students in Kindergarten through Grade 2. This role focuses on building strong foundational math skills — number sense, calculation, and problem-solving — through the Singapore Math approach, in a small-group, after-school setting. Wonder Quest Learning Center is seeking a patient, caring, and responsible teacher to teach Singapore Math to students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 .
Responsibilities:
Teach Singapore Math to K-2 students Explain mathematical concepts clearly and provide guided practice Develop students' number sense, calculation skills, and problem-solving abilities Track students' classroom performance and academic progress Communicate student needs and progress with the management team
Qualifications:
Experience with the Singapore Math curriculum is preferred Previous experience teaching K-2 students is preferred Fluent in English and able to teach in English Patient, dependable, and passionate about working with young children Able to make a stable, long-term commitment Must be able to pass a background check If you have a passion for teaching and want to be a part of a team that values creativity, engagement, and student success, we would love to hear from you!
