Job Description

Step into a dynamic classroom experience teaching students ages 9-12 as a dedicated general education math instructor. This contract-to-hire opportunity near Wilmington, DE, begins August 24th and runs through May 2027, offering a chance to positively impact young learners while furthering your professional journey. In this role, you will inspire a love of mathematics in middle school students, facilitate engaging lessons, and support academic growth. You'll manage a typical caseload for this age group, fostering a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Valid Secondary Math Teaching Certification required Experience teaching general education math, preferably with students ages 9-12 Strong classroom management and communication abilities Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of learners Passion for creating an inclusive, supportive, and motivating educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective math instruction aligned with curriculum standards Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles within your classroom Assess, monitor, and document student progress Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support each student's academic journey Participate in ongoing professional development to continually refine teaching methods Your workweek will consist of 37.5 hours across five days, providing consistency and structure while allowing you to build strong relationships with students.
