Middle & High School Math Substitute Teacher (Hourly) About Suncoast Community School God has called Suncoast Community School to educate and care for families in our community. What Makes Us Special Strong sense of community Low student-to-teacher ratios 4.5-day school week Authentic relationships with parents and students Christ-centered learning environment Position Overview Suncoast Community School is seeking a dependable and engaging Hourly Middle & High School Math Substitute Teacher who is confident teaching math courses from 6th Grade through Algebra 2. This is an as-needed, hourly position. The substitute teacher will step in to provide instruction during teacher absences while maintaining classroom structure, learning continuity, and a positive school culture. Responsibilities Teach math lessons for grades 6-Algebra 2 using provided lesson plans Maintain a structured and respectful classroom environment Support students in understanding and applying mathematical concepts Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking Communicate effectively with administration regarding classroom needs Model professionalism and Christian character
We Are Seeking Someone Who:
Is comfortable teaching math from 6th grade through Algebra 2 Has strong classroom management skills Is organized, flexible, and dependable Enjoys working with Middle & High School students Builds respectful and encouraging relationships Explains math concepts clearly and confidently Is relational, kind, and consistent Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required Teaching experience required Strong background in mathematics Ability to pass a background check Alignment with the mission and values of Suncoast Community School Position Details Hourly, as-needed substitute position School operates on a 4.5-day week schedule Supportive team environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
