Job Description

Large Catholic High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is seeking qualified candidates for the 2026-2027 school year with a minimum Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. A Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should be certified by Florida Dept of Education (grades 9-12) or be in the process of acquiring certification in their subject. A minimum of two years' teaching experience for all high school grade levels is desired. Candidate must be a self-starter and have experience in digital book, interactive classroom technology & digital gradebooks. Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Must have excellent classroom management and professional demeanor. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program for high school Mathematics, particularly Algebra. The High School Mathematics Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary scale is determined by Level of Education, Years of Teaching Experience and Professional Certification. In addition to the eligibility requirements indicated in the Archdiocese of Miami Policy "Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment for Children and Vulnerable Adults," the selected candidate for this entity must undergo a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and be granted a determination of eligibility as a condition of employment.
