Teachers are responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering student growth, maintaining a positive classroom culture, and helping students reach their academic, social, and spiritual potential. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Develop weekly lesson plans and instructional materials. Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and observations. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records. Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline strategies. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, field trips, and school events. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities. Integrate technology and hands-on learning into instruction when appropriate. Uphold the mission, vision, and Christian values of Fields of Art Christian Academy. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Administration. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older . Valid Florida teaching certification preferred (or eligibility to obtain one). Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff. Proficient with technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Must successfully pass a background check. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds . Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors. Ability to perform classroom duties in a fast-paced school environment. Work Schedule Full-time and part-time positions available. Monday-Friday.
