Reports To:
Principal Position Overview Glades Academy Charter School is seeking a highly effective and student-centered Math Instructional Coach to support the continuous improvement of mathematics instruction and student achievement. The Math Coach will work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to strengthen instructional practices, analyze student data, implement intervention strategies, and promote a culture of high expectations and academic excellence. The ideal candidate is a proven mathematics educator who can inspire teachers, model effective instruction, and drive measurable gains in student performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructional Coaching Provide job-embedded coaching and support to mathematics teachers. Conduct classroom observations and provide timely feedback. Model effective instructional strategies and best practices. Support teachers in lesson planning, differentiation, and classroom management. Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) and collaborative planning sessions. Assist teachers in implementing standards-based instruction. Student Achievement & Data Analysis Analyze assessment data to identify instructional strengths and areas for growth. Support the development and implementation of school-wide math improvement plans. Monitor student progress and recommend intervention strategies. Assist with progress monitoring and
MTSS/RTI
processes. Develop targeted support plans for struggling learners. Curriculum & Assessment Support implementation of Florida B.E.S.T. Mathematics Standards. Assist teachers in developing rigorous lessons aligned to state standards. Support the use of formative and summative assessments. Coordinate benchmark assessment preparation and data review processes. Ensure instructional alignment across grade levels. Professional Development Plan and facilitate professional development focused on mathematics instruction. Provide individualized coaching cycles for teachers. Support new teacher onboarding and mentoring. Share research-based instructional strategies and resources. School Leadership Serve as a member of the school's instructional leadership team. Collaborate with administration on school improvement initiatives. Support testing coordination and academic intervention programs. Participate in school events and family engagement activities. Promote a positive culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Florida Teaching Certificate in Mathematics or related field. Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience. Demonstrated record of improving student achievement. Experience coaching or mentoring teachers preferred. Knowledge of Florida accountability systems and state assessments. Preferred Qualifications Reading or ESOL endorsement preferred. Experience with charter schools. Experience with middle school mathematics, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Deep understanding of mathematics content and pedagogy. Strong data analysis skills. Ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with teachers. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lead adult learning and professional development. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
