Job Description
Job Overview Admiral Farragut Academy is seeking an experienced Learning Specialist to support students in grades 6-12. This position will work with students individually and in small groups to strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and develop strategies for greater success in the classroom. The ideal candidate is a strong academic generalist with demonstrated experience supporting students in both math and English and understands the academic demands of middle and high school. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group academic support in math and English Help students strengthen organization, study skills, time management, and executive-function skills Identify areas where students need additional support and develop appropriate interventions Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed Collaborate with teachers to ensure students receive consistent academic support Support students in understanding and utilizing appropriate accommodations and learning strategies Communicate with families and school personnel regarding student progress when appropriate
