High School Math Teacher Position Overview:

Pinecrest Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics education and committed to helping students develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. This teacher will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction while fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver math instruction aligned to Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards for high school courses, including Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Math Courses Develop lessons that promote conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application Use assessment data to guide instruction and differentiate for diverse learners Create a structured and positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and accountability Integrate technology, project-based learning, and collaborative strategies to enhance student learning Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress Collaborate with colleagues during Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve instructional practices Maintain accurate records and comply with all school, district, and state requirements Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (or eligibility) in Mathematics (Grades 6-12) Knowledge of Florida standards and state assessment expectations Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching high school mathematics ESOL endorsement or Reading Endorsement Experience with Advanced Placement (AP), honors, or dual enrollment courses Experience incorporating differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
