What You Will Do As a Math Instructor, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, positive, and engaging learning environment for students and families. You'll be trained to deliver effective, concise math instruction and will motivate students to build confidence and skills in math.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching math concepts in a supportive, engaging way Motivating and inspiring students to reach their potential Tracking student progress and communicating with the Center Manager and team Assisting with day-to-day center operations as needed Opportunities for growth and leadership development are available across multiple centers.
Qualifications Required:
Strong math skills, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics Ability to connect with children and parents High school diploma or GED (some college preferred)
Preferred:
Experience working with children
Additional Requirement:
Candidates must pass an upper-level math proficiency test , administered during the in-person interview. Schedule & Compensation Part-time position with flexible hours Shifts typically include afternoons, evenings, and weekends Looking for long-term candidates available throughout the school year Starting at $17 per hour , based on experience Mathnasium is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace .
