Job Description

The Math Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting student growth and achievement. This role includes planning and implementing lessons aligned with state standards, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff to support overall student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with curriculum standards Teach courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and/or Calculus (based on assignment) Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of methods Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school initiatives Support school policies, procedures, and student discipline expectations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field Valid state teaching license/certification in Mathematics (or ability to obtain) Strong classroom management and instructional skills Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching secondary math courses Experience working with diverse student populations Familiarity with data-driven instruction and educational technology
