Take the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while helping high school learners master foundational math concepts in a supportive, onsite setting. This contract role involves serving as a dedicated and energizing Math Teacher, specifically for Algebra I, engaging with students throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active Louisiana Math Educator Certificate authorized for high school grades Previous classroom experience teaching Algebra I is highly preferred Strong command of high school mathematics curriculum and best instructional practices Excellent communication skills and a passion for motivating, mentoring, and guiding students Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and academically driven environment
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging daily lesson plans and effective math instruction to high school students Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and styles Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to align curriculum and support student achievement Develop and administer assessments, provide timely feedback, and track student progress Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence in Algebra I Maintain open and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance This is a contract role working full-time, onsite in a vibrant high school environment, running through May 2027.
