9601775-70001 Job Description Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a high school Math educator in the vibrant Greater New Orleans area. This assignment offers the chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic school environment. Youll be working full-time35 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with a 7-hour instructional day and an included 30-minute unpaid lunch break, following the district's academic calendar. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through the end of the school year.

Essential Qualifications:

Current, active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (Gen EdMath) required (Temporary Authority to Teach is not accepted) Previous experience teaching Math at the high school level preferred Ability to manage and engage adolescent learners in a classroom setting Commitment to maintaining a supportive and positive learning environment Capable of adhering to all district, state, and federal regulations Willingness to complete a district-required drug screen and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing processes

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, organized, and standards-based mathematics instruction to high school students Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with the established curriculum Maintain thorough and accurate student records and progress reports Foster positive relationships and effective communication with students, parents, and school teams Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs Attend required meetings and professional development as needed In this role, you have the opportunity to inspire future leaders and problem-solvers while contributing to a supportive educational community.
