LSU Shreveport invites applications for a full-time, 4.5-month instructor position starting in January 2027. The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate general education mathematics courses and co-requisite labs. We seek an energetic, dedicated colleague who is passionate about undergraduate education and skilled in active, student-centered learning methods. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success are essential.
Responsibilities:
Teach four courses including college algebra, mathematics concepts, and corresponding co-requisite labs. Teach in both face-to-face and online settings when required. Conduct in-person office hours on LSUS campus. Demonstrate a commitment to service within the department, college, university, and community.
Required Qualifications:
A master's degree or equivalent in mathematical sciences or a closely related field. Demonstrated potential for excellence in college-level teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven effectiveness using student-centered, active-learning teaching strategies and strong interpersonal communication skills.
