POSITION
Elementary Mathematics Interventionist
LOCATION
Peirce Elementary School
POSITION GOAL
Elementary intervention aims to provide Tier II and III services through push-in and pull-out models for identified students.
QUALIFICATIONS
K-5 Elementary Teacher or Elementary Mathematics Specialist certification
Content and pedagogical understanding of elementary mathematics
Experience differentiating mathematics instruction for all learners
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teachers, coaches, staff, and leadership
Ability to learn how to administer, score, and interpret diagnostic and benchmark measures
Plan small group instruction based on diagnostic and benchmark measures
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Building-based math interventionist
Regularly review data to identify students for Tier II mathematics instruction
Work with students on developing their understanding of mathematics through their strengths.
Collaborate with specialists, other interventionists, special educators, and teacher leaders to foster a Multi-Tiered System of Support. Collaborate closely with Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) students and staff to support Multilingual learners (MLs).
Connect regularly with: Role-alike interventionists across schools
Building-based coach

REPORTS TO
Building principal (primary) and K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director (contributing).
SALARY:
According to AEA Unit A Contract $60,100 - $76,413 per year
EVALUATION
The performance of this job will be evaluated as per the Arlington Education Association Contract. The building principal will complete evaluations with support from the K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director.
