Job Description

Inspire high school students as a Math Teacher in a dynamic, contract-based educational setting. This full-time position supports a vibrant school community and focuses on providing exceptional general education math instruction to high school learners. This opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics and education, eager to engage students, and possesses the credentials needed to teach effectively in Michigan.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Active Michigan teaching certificate with a current Math endorsement (please submit proof of licensure/certification with your application) Previous experience in general education math instruction, preferably with high school students Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse learners Effective communication and collaboration abilities, working well with fellow educators and support staff Up-to-date knowledge of math curriculum, assessment strategies, and differentiated instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging high school-level math lessons aligned with curriculum standards and student needs Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation, inquiry, and academic growth Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to design effective instructional plans and interventions Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with students, families, and school personnel
